Life Lessons Learnt From The  Mahabharata

We all grown up watching Mahabharata. In fact it was the most memorable part of our childhood. I still remember Ramanand Sagar shri krishna, the way he use to speak words of wisdom.

Gone are those days but what did we learn from Mahabharata serial? apart from its epic script its appealing character has much more to tell.

The eternal bond of friendship

Sudama was Bramhin childhood friend of Krishna.Krishna later became powerful part of ruling family at Dwarka.

But their social  status did not came in way of their friendship. Sudama stayed  poor and humble. Sometimes later Sudama was going through extreme poverty, not even having food for survival.

His wife Niyati Desai suggested him to go to Lord Krishna. Initially he hesitated but agrees after. Sudama takes beaten rice as a present for his friend Krishna as he knew Krishna loves beaten rice.

Sudama goes to Shri Krishna. lord Krishna treats him royally and much more love. He offers him new clothes and many more. Lord Krishna's spouse Rukhmini gifts him his desire.

Sudama was so overwhelmed by the hospitality of Lord Krishna that he forgot what he came for. but shri Krishna knew it.

When it ws time for Sudama to leave,Krishna asked Sudama to go out with his torn and old clothes. This was not acceptable for Rukhmini when she asked Krishna he cried and told her
"Look, only because the lord is his friend he got so much", but now when he'll go in the same state as he came, the people will realise that what all I have given him is only because of his devotion"

Sudama And Krishna's Eternal Bond Of Friendship.
The story gives us beautiful message that god does not differentiate between poor and rich. All he sees the beautiful soul.

Loyalty And Dedication

Eklavya was young prince of Nishadha Kingdom also son of Hiranyabhanus. Eklavya is considered as one of the best archer from The Mahabharata. Eklavya was dedicated student anyone can have. He had strong desire to train under Dronacharya, Sadly Eklavya was not lucky enough as Arjun to train under Dronacharya.

Eklavya started learning archery. His dedication was so high that he built statue of Dronacharya and continued practice. He became so good at it that he could hit arrow to any aim he had set. One day Eklavya Happened to meet Eklavya.

He was surprised to see Eklavya practicing in front of his statue. Eklavya told him how he's been practicing. Dronacharya was amused to hear his story. When Dronacharya asked him "Since you've been practicing artery considering me, will you give anything i ask as Guru-Dakshina?"

So dronacharya asked him for his thumb so that he couldn't become as good as Arjun. Eklavya didn't think for second and cut down his thumb and dedicated it to his guru Dronacharya.

Loyalty And Dedication Of  Eklavya.

Story tells the didcation of Eklavya. It tells that how one can learn anything without any resources. Only dedication is key to success.

Mahabharata teaches us many priceless lessons like these but knowing is not everything, understanding it and applying it in real time is big deal.
